Cricket Legends of Barbados International Cup
Nov 27th to Dec 5th 2009
Barbados will launch a new annual competition, the Cricket Legends of Barbados International Cup. The over 35, 20/20 tournament will be played at the Kensington Oval.

The matches will see Masters representing four teams namely Sri Lanka, South Africa, England and the West Indies. The players will include former test greats including Sir Vivian Richards, Arjuna Ranatunga, Graham Thorpe and Lance Klusener.

The other big four cricket nations, New Zealand, Australia, Pakistan and India, are expected to come on board for the 2010 tournament. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Kensington Oval.

Tennis Pon De Rock
November 28th & 29th 2009
Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki will play the first exhibition match for charity at the Wildey Gymnasium Complex. The event on the 28th of November starts at 6pm with a senior exhibition match between Jeff Tarango and Haydn Lewis followed by the highly anticipated singles match featuring the World Number 1 & 4 ranked players.

The second day of the event will see a mixed doubles event with Serena & Caroline at the Sugar Hill Tennis Resort. All proceeds of the event will go to charity to help with the development of Barbados children through sports. Tickets for the event can be purchased at all Super Centre locations, Cave Shepherd (Broad Street), Lewis Drug Mart and from The Barbados Olympic Association office.

Run Barbados
December 4th to 6th, 2009
The Powerade Run Barbados Series 2009, now celebrating its 26th anniversary, stands out as the oldest running marathon series. The weekend event starts with the Gap Powerade Midnight Fun Mile from 12 am to 2 am on Friday 4th December, all proceeds going to the Barbados Cancer Society.

Saturday 5th December hosts the Nature Valley 10K. The Half Marathon, and the Marathon are held on Sunday 6th December. The start and Finish line Party will be held at the Bay Street Esplanade. Further information can be found at Run Barbados.
